The “estimated maximum speed” is the maximum speed that users can expect to achieve at different locations in the coverage area under realistic conditions. This maximum value results from measurements on the whole national territory and might vary depending on the device performance and your location during the use of the service. 5G being under deployment, the speed estimation is based on limited data.

The “optimale maximum speed” is the speed that can be achieved under optimal usage conditions. Speed may vary depending on the price plan, device performance and your location while using the service. More info on 5G and on internetpolicy.

Protection measure: in order to avoid unexpectedly high bills, the customer's mobile Internet usage is blocked until the start of the next billing cycle if he uses €60 more data than the amount provided in his bundle. If the customer so wishes, he can reactivate his usage via the MyProximus app or by contacting customer service.

Normal and personal use of the Service by the Customer and unlimited use

The service is conditioned to a personal, non-abusive use, with due diligent. As part of the unlimited offers, in Belgium and the EU Zone, Proximus therefore reserves the right to limit or suspend the service in the event of use in excess of more than 10,000 SMS/month or 500 SMS/day or sending SMS to more than 250 different recipients per month or in the event of regular calls of more than 6h/day and/or 30h/week. Regarding unlimited mobile data usage, they are subject to a reasonable usage policy. In Belgium and the EU zone*, the customer can surf up to 300 GB/month at maximum speed and then the speed is reduced (max 512 Kbps).

Smartphone Omnium

Smartphone Omnium covers you worldwide and is linked to your cell phone subscription, not to your device itself. If you change your smartphone, your new device is automatically insured.

If the claim is accepted before 2 p.m. and a repair can be carried out, the device can be picked up the same day at an address in Belgium of your choice. If for any reason a repair is not possible, your device will be replaced.

Mobile Payments

Customers with a mobile subscription or prepaid card are automatically given the option to make mobile payments.

This option allows you to purchase third-party services, such as a subscription to streaming services, a digital magazine, purchases on game consoles, e-books, parking or train tickets, paid applications in an app store, etc. The maximum value per transaction is 50€.

Your purchases are linked to your mobile number and can be consulted in the usage section via the MyProximus app.

The settlement of your purchases takes place together with the settlement of your Proximus products and services. The overview of your purchases is listed in the section “Details of your statement for third-party services”, which is added as an attachment to your Proximus bill or statement.

Your standard monthly budget is set at €100 and can be adjusted via the MyProximus app to a minimum of €5 and a maximum of €250. You can also choose to deactivate or reactivate this option free of charge via the MyProximus app.
